Communications
Two separate risers service every floor for:
The telecommunications riser provides 200 pair per floor fed from the MDF and has in built ISDN capability. The MDF has access to fibre optic and is cabled for both Telstra and Optus.
Tenants' Office Distribution
The three channel skirting duct around the perimeter floors provides power and communication distribution.
Specifically for communications requirements a dedicated communications cable tray has been run around the perimeter of the core of each tenanted level and radiated out to the columns. Between the columns are catenary wires for distribution of communication cabling from the cable trays. These cable trays are clearly marked for communication cabling only.
Television and Video Signals
Master Antennae and TV (MATV) System
A MATV system has been installed with 4 outlets per floor located in the telephone riser cupboard. The MATV system broadcasts free-to-air TV signals and FM radio The MATV system amplifier has spare channels for video text or further pay for use services. Details are available from MLC Centre Management. All MATV-related works must be carried out by the base building approved contractor, Macray Specialised Services, 02 9439 4755.
Foxtel Digital
Foxtel Digital has been installed with 4 outlets per floor and is located in the main building riser. Access to this infrastructure is permissible on request to MLC Centre Management. A one-off access fee will apply. Cabling and connection to Foxtel is at the cost of the tenant. Apply to Foxtel, phone 1300 306 460.
